4SEVAN
The <<For Sevan>> project was created by the “Armdiving Divers Club” NGO with the support of the UNDP-GEF Small Grants Program within the framework of the “Restoration of the Lake Sevan Ecosystem Using Innovative Underwater Technology” project.
We built this project on the belief that the small choices we make every day can change the world.
WHAT WE DO
Our divers collect tons of garbage from the bottom of Sevan in the form of plastic and abandoned fishing nets, recycle them and turn into various items (jewelry, key chains, etc.) and then sell them. Proceeds go toward expanding the program and removing more waste from our beloved lake.
A FEW FACTS
- By purchasing one item, YOU remove 40 meters of old abandoned fishing net from Lake Sevan,
- Еach ornament is handmade by the residents of the villages and towns around Lake Sevan,
- The main part of the items consists of real fishing nets removed from the bottom of Lake Sevan.
